Water is the essence of life

Water is the most important ingredient for life to existence on earth. While human can survive without food for almost 3 weeks, yet just 3 days without water. Water makes up 70% of human body with some parts such as blood, lung, joints, lymph, kidney and liver being made up with more than 80% of water, even muscles, brain and heart consist of at least 75% water. Water in vital to life.
Consumption of good quality and quantity of water can prevent and even cure many illnesses.

Water being the major component of body therefore replenish lost water is essential for body function and health. Dehydration put enormous stress on the heart as it needs to pump faster to get sufficient oxygen to muscles. Red Blood Cells can only carry oxygen efficiently when properly hydrated.
Water can boost brain power, prevent memory loss as one ages. Water also lubricates joints and lessens joint discomfort and back pains. Cell and body repairs both need constant and regular supply of water. Water slows down the aging process and makes skin smooth.
Water is the essential cleaner to remove toxic wastes from various parts of body. Kidney and liver can only remove toxins with sufficient water, similarly stool needs water to excrete wastes and toxins.
Around the world, many medical doctors and scientists testify water is the best medicine.
“You're not sick; you're thirsty. Don't treat thirst with medication”, is a key point emphasised by Dr F. Batmanghelidj, a British trained medical doctor. He constantly promoted “water for health, for healing, for life".
Yet, consumption of contaminated drinking water is the deadliest killers known to man. The serious and deadly waterborne disease such as diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, typhoid etc have killed millions throughout history.WHO (world health organisation) estimated waterborne diarrhea disease currently is responsible for 2 million deaths each year. Beside waterborne diseases caused by bacteria and parasites, water contaminated with animal & human wastes, pesticides, chemicals particularly heavy metals are also impacting health in a major way. Studies linked high levels of lead in drinking water to delays in physical and mental developments, short attention spans and learning difficulties in children. Arsenic in drinking water can lead to nerve, heart, skin and blood vessel damages.
